Auto-Update on Small Business Theme?

Dear D5,

Spent the better part of a week customizing the free Small Business Theme to match the brand colors of my client, and then, yesterday, all of my work was mysteriously wiped out and replaced by the default version of the theme? 😡

I always thought WordPress provided users the option to update themes. If that’s not the case with your themes, is there any way to disable auto updating.

We advised to implement any custom color changing within the Theme Options for Pro and Extend Edition. Update is not auto, it is selected by the user. And it is true for all themes of WordPress that update overwrite the existing theme files. That’s why we advised to customize within Theme Options. That will remain the customization as it is.
