    I just bought the theme and have done some poking around…. but can’t figure it out.

    Please consider that These are not related to Themes. These can be controlled by WordPpress Core and/or Plugins. You can set the User Role to Author from WP-Admin > Users > Edit

    You can set more permissions or create new user roles using some User Role Plugins Like WPFront User Role Editor. You can find those from WP-Admin > Plugins > Add New
