    In google pagespeed it states
    “Losslessly compressing http://www.commercialrefrigerationrepairs.net/…themes/simplify-extend/images/header.png could save 890B (80% reduction).”
    When i ftp this Header.png out of the said folder, then optimize the recommended header.png (check the results to make sure it was optimized) , upload back to said folder, Google Pagespeed doesn’t recognize my changes, therefore my score does not change and it is still recommending these changes. is there a better way to do this?

    (i also cache the page after update)

    These are not related with Themes. You may purge your cache.
