I want to create a template that is similar to the Front Page template I have now. It would obviously have different content and I would like just a single featured image instead of a slider.

Does Simplify Extend come with a spiffy-cool way to do that? Or, would I follow the WordPress instructions for “Creating Your Own Page Templates”?

    Please advise, thanks.

So I created a new Page Template called About.php by copy/pasting the Front-Page Template code. I added it successfully to my Theme. However, when I make changes to my new template, the changes do not appear. Also, when I make changes to the Front Page, those changes also appear in my About Page. How can I fix this?

Unfortunately the method you are using is not the right way. Front Page and normal pages are different. But that you want is possible. You can create Separate Page Template or can use some HTML during page creation/editing in text/html view.

This is a Major Customization. You can take our Service Opportunity.
