I’m trying to buy the Simplify with the3D Slide and 04 Slide Effect. What membership level I need to buy and if I buy it will it function and look just the way the sample is? or do I have to buy more plugins?

You need DEVELOPER Membership Level to download and use the Simplify Extend. You can also download and use any of our 21 Theme Editions. The DEMO is showing with the default Theme Settings without any Plugins. If you can configure the Settings you need not to buy any Plugin.

I have Simplify Extend. I checked to hide the COMMENTS in General Options. But the comments box still shows.

Is there a workaround for this problem??

You can disable the comments from the General Options
