Did you try to set a Static Home Page and a Blog Page from WP-Admin > Settings > Reading ?. You can create a Blank Page and can set that as Front Page. These are WordPress Core issues/features, not Themes’
D5 CreationThe Slide Script of Free Version has such these limitations which can not be re-sized in Responsive Layout. But, you can check the Demo of Business Line Extended version which can show Proper Dimension of the Slide Images in Responsive Layout.

D5 CreationActually, this is not a Problem or Issue of Innovation Extend. This is a new feature request.
You can change the Text Color to different one in Per Slide Basis. Thus you can use different Text Colors for different Slides so that your Readers can read. We have noted your suggestion. But, we don’t have any Plan to introduce this feature with Innovation Extend because the Slide Height is smaller than the Awesome Extend. There are so many things to be considered during a Theme Design. You can also edit your Images to adjust with the Slide Text.
