Thanks , it’s working but …yes there’s a but the problem with this is that after login the user stays logged in. Is there a way to change the menu ,after the user is logged in, to a menu item “logout”? Now it stay’s offcourse menu item “login”.

Because I have set the admin bar for user’s hided there is no item to click to checkout. I don’t want anyone to get to the dasboard , even logged in users.

But this gives the problem of security , even if the user closes the browser , if a other person opens the browser and go’s to the website the hidden page will be visible because the browser will open with the previous users login.

Any possibilities or have I tth go to the pluginside ? No idea how to start that search . I mean they maybe all do de job but I don’t want all the extra stuff that I maybe never use – just login and logout , that’s it.

Yes that’s why I’m trying to use as little as possible plugins. But somethimes you have to choose between a lot of scripting to get a resulted that a plugin offers at a glance.

The pain of choosing a theme when you start is sometimes finding out you had better started with a other theme but if you do change you can loose something else you want thats in the theme you started with.
Maybe a dream at this moment but if all the themes would have the same functionality that would be ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. ( and a lot of work for you to do 😉 )

I supposed it would be wordpress related but what I don’t understand is this line you said ; our Theme has built in Gallery Function ; this the wordpress gallery that you mean or else I’m not finding that theme gallery .

Despite that , I turned to the Gallery Carousel Without JetPack to solve the issue.

And it works great , so problem solved.

OK, need some help about this.
I created 4 pages with each a gallery on it .
I then made 1 page with 4 pics that each have a link to that there specific gallery(page) .

It works but if I click on one pic it opens a page with the gallery on it : thats fine but then if I click on any of the foto’s to see it full size it opens just that foto but I can’t go back or forward to the next . I tried to set the type gallery to slideshow but that seems having no effect.

this is what I have in one of html of one gallery( page) .

Maybe I’m doing it wrong . But if I make a new gallery I don’t get the option to choose slideshows etc…
I don’t get the option type ?

Is the way I setting it up wrong ?

The way I want it to be is that if you click on the menu Albums : you get a Page with all the galleries shown each like a thumbnail .
You choose one of the thumbnails then you go to a page to see all the foto’s from that gallery in thumbnail format . If you then click on a thumbnail you get a slideshow full format with the option to go back of next foto via arrows .

Simply like every album works.

OK ,

maybe you can recommend a gallery plugin that does his work like it should without altering the page wrongly.

If not I’m going to have to search till if I find one.

A solution would be to alter the page to a full width page but that ‘s a temp solution .

OK, it seems something to solve in the next future but for now I have other items to implement.

Hello,
I tried that but then I get several other issues to solve again:

1. the name of the page (title) is now showing on the page.
2. The slider image on top is gone
3. The images of the Featured Image don’t line up and the backgrounds are on the left side from the images
4. Featured Content is not lining up like in the front page

The only thing I got to work is the links I wanted.

It’s getting a bit out off my hands just for putting a link on a pic.

Any remarks on this?

I think I understand wath you mean. But the problem is that I have no home page made myself . I have made a link in the menu to go to the home page like this

I have no idea wich page is loaded . So I have no idea where to change the html.
Sorry that you have so much trouble with me . The build up of a site in wordpress is not always (for a noob ) easy to follow.

OK , I found the lines via the firefox webdeveloper and think how to change them but have two questions about this .
1. If for a reason there will be a update for the theme will the by me made changes still be there or have I to make these changes again. Not sure what is being updated with a new release.

2.Where is this homepage html to find : I’m still searching how the webpages are build up . Which php files first is loaded and then wich next one etc…..
So for me it’s a bit searching like a needle in a ….. lot of files.

That’s what I was thinking of but since I’m a noob on HTML this will go with alot of error and trials . I take ofcourse backups. I’m trying to get used to reading and understanding html . But it’s going to take some guessing where and what to copy and paste because I want to keep the layout has it is .
Can you give me a small hint where to start copying so that I don’t need to read all of the html . For you it’s like reading a book for me it’s like reading a full dictionary.

Never mind , found it and learned something new.

I suppose there will be several other things like this in the futher that I have to change the dimensions ?
It give’s more work to check other sites engines to see if all is in view.

I did think that this was standard , I mean that the image or tabel settings would take the % instead of px when creating it .

But hey the problem is solved .

I’m sorry but you have the wrong screen . I made the table smaller so it fits in safari also but that is not the solution I hope .
I tought that the items you put in the page would make that item smaller or wider depending on the kind of pagetype you chose .

If I make the table in the page wider it will get behind the sidebar in safari .

Please let me know 5 minutes before you surf to that page . I will set it up so that you can see this in safari.

Oeps , there is something wrong with the view in SAFARI . I’m viewing it in Firefox and my daughter is checking it in safari .

In Firefox it’s ok . In Safari it’s behind the sidebar .

I could try to make the tabel smaller but this is a little bug in the layout or not ?

How can I solve this?

Could it have something to do with the flash player ? On my daughters mac it was out of date . So I updated the flas player .

If that is the problem is there a way to check this when a visitor is loading the website and give him a warning that he has to update the flash player when he wants to see the page the right way.

Update :

Tried it and it works half . The topline is like the other lines , so thats a step closer.
But the bottom line seems having a other dark color (bearly to see ) . Is it maybe because the text is a link that the bottom line is not showing right?
I’m a noob regarding html but I’m willing to learn by trial and error . With help of smart people like you. 😉
Where can I find the html that I just changed ? Maybe I can search where the color is changed from grey to nearly black .

Hello ,

No that is not it . In the D5 Creation extended theme you see fine lines between every line in the meta for example ( also in all the other footer areas) But when I insert a text the lines don’t appear above en under this text.

I’m not familiar with how to post a pic .
Can you give me a explane how to put in a pic . Do I have to create a link to the pic that I have on the server ?
No idea.

I see the insert pic above but don’t know what to put in between that . “[img]?[/img]”

Never mind , I have solved it. I just had to update the 3dslide.php and update some pages and it’s working again.

So you can go solve somebody else his/her problem.

OK , I named the old theme different ( to have backup) and installed the new version. It seems I lost the slider settings and the links to my foto’s ( on a page that links further to a gallery) . So I could life with that or is there a way to avoid that ? By not copying some items or are they all neccesary ?

Just a question about the install of the new version. How do I do this without losing any allready made adjustements . I don’t want to start from scratch after the update . Witch files do I have to copy and witch do I have to live alone?

I also wanted to try this thema out and had the same error message. I read this but I don’t see where to put the PSD folder . Do I just put it anywhere or in the wordpress folder ? The d5-socialia-pro.zip is probably the theme itself and do I put this under the themes folder?

I had first installed a english version of wordpress and now I found a dutch version of wordpress . I tested it on a new local simplify theme and it works ;

I have just a few questions about this for the Creation team : I’m wondering if I install this on my allready existing website what’s going to happen ? Is this a new full install and do I have to do all the work from zero or is the theme with all the settings going to stay like it is now ?

Otherwise , it would be the solution for me and other dutch speaking wordpress users. Or is only the wordpress in dutch and is it not doing anything with the theme layout ?

Hope to get a answer on this , because I’m building a website for a older public , where most of them not really understand some of the english terms . Some do, some don’t.
